What is meant by Code3 "integrated" data files?
Code3 data files are common to and shared by all Code3 applications. Any data entered into or changed in any one of the Code3 products such as CAD, Records Management, Imaging or Jail Management is immediately available for use by all other applications.
Does Code3 support single-point data entry?
Yes. With very few exceptions, Code3 requires data to be entered once and only once and it is immediately available to all other Code3 applications and modules. For example, a person's name, DOB, race, sex, ethnicity, etc. are all entered and/or edited in a Master Name record for that person. When this information is needed in other Code3 modules and functions, it is automatically pulled from that master record.
How many users (workstations) can run Code3 applications simultaneously?
Code3 theoretically can have an unlimited number of users, or workstations, working simultaneously. The actual limitations are (1) the capabilities of the network and (2) the number of Code3 and network user licenses purchased.
Does Code3 support UCR and NIBRS reporting?
Yes, Code3 provides data collection and reports for Uniform Crime Reports (UCR) and National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) requirements.
Which computer operating systems are compatable with Code3 applications?
Code3 runs properly under Windows 2000, 2003 and 2008 servers, Windows Terminal servers, and Novell Netware servers. Supported workstation operating systems are Windows XP Professional and Windows Vista Ultimate.
I understand that Code3 has many built-in, pre-formatted reports. Does it also support "Ad-Hoc" or user-defined reports?
Yes. In fact, a Code3 User Defined Reports generator is included with the software package. This report generator uses the R&R (Relational Report Writer) run time engine to build nearly any report imaginable. About 50 R&R reports are included with the generator which serve not only as useful reports but also as samples which can be easily modified or adapted to other report requirements. Also, Code3 data files are ODBC compliant and we provide an ODBC driver for that purpose. In addition, some users have used Crystal Reports with Code3 data files.
